I think he's talking about those who CHOOSE not to work.

Any money given as stimulus like this does NOT trickle down and help the lower parts of the economy so everyone can get stronger--it simply makes the rich that much richer, because guess who Chameque & Ray-Ray in the projects or Ellie Sue & Rufus Lee in the trailer park is going to spend this money with? Most likely, big business at their local mall or Wal-Mart. The proceeds of which go to the richer, bigger companies, and they use it more likely for expanding the upper part of their empires or to pad their own retirement packages...not raising wages or benefits for their employees (which would allow true trickle down to the tax bracket that needs it).

What are your plans for your check Spuds? Gonna go to Walmant and spend it, or save it?

Here's the true trickle down: get off your keester, find the trickle, and then begin to follow it. What does it take to move up? Education, which is largely free in this country; a work ethic (get up in the morning and go put in a good 8 hours); developing a lifestyle that is conducive to saving and preparing for your tomorrow; take responsibility and ownership (no one owes you anything - prepare yourself and work for it). I'm so tired of the "world owes me because" attitude.

Never said it was a right...but you liberals always think in terms of rights. Here's the deal Spuds - you libs always think in terms of rights. Healthcare isn't a right, education isn't a right. You libs interpret rights as a free opportunity, a given. I believe in the freedom of opportunity - OPPORTUNITY! You have the right to puruse education, to pursue healthcare - just once I would like to see you whining liberals utilize a constitutional reference for your nonsense. It isn't there today, it won't be there tomorrow, nor has it ever been there in the past. Buck up, pay the piper, and accept responsibilty. Easy to do, if you're willing.

Pay attention- pretty much my gripes have to do with spending, like this joke and not taking care of something a group has been promised and payed into all their life, like SS. And Bush ran on a platform to save SS, the surplus was there. And still some are dumb enough to think these folks are great? The healthcare issue for me? Simple, we pay taxes at work for ....well for me it has been 33 years so far . And the whole time SOME of the cash has gone to fund someone else's healthcare. So when I get to the point that I can't work 62-65 where ever, you can look to lose your entire life's work inside of one serious illness. I don't need a deal , just part of what I really earn. And somebody that understands the real world. I'm not giving anybody anything. There is your opportunity...just waiting.

A DEMOCRATIC congress - there goes your surplus. You state that you have worked to fund someone else's healthcare...the core of your party's shallow, weak-kneed platform for this election. Rest assured, the liberal "think tank" (what an oxymoron) will take care of you in your retirement...along with all the illegal Mexicans, etc. that are receiving a free ride from the dems because they desire their votes. Have another beer... The Pubs ran it all for 6 years and the surplus was only in SS , you will need to study the subject to talk about it. I really hoped Bush would fix it.I just don't like big oil..Bush and well you can probably figure...well maybe not. Bush is the guy , at the moment , that won't close the border. Gonna add another 150 billion to the debt to fix the problem caused by the loan business? This isn't taking from the taxpayers and giving to the companies? Gee, thanks, I'm getting some of my own money back. A 50% write off for a business, what about the same break for a family? And the housing bail-out? Includes loans up to 730,000 ,now I wonder if those folks count their dollars as close as we do? None of the politicians really care. This plan proves it- both side running around trying to buy votes. Healthcare has always been a sticking point for me..Bush gave billions to fund oil research...everybody isn't going to be able to work at a level to afford healthcare. If a guy can only bag groceries, should he not be able to get treatment for an illness? I only get one vote, so let'em die. Same with the rest of folks with problems. I can get mine, always have.
